Ariana is on top of the world right now, and her career is only getting hotter! Now movie scripts are starting to pour in from some of the biggest producers in Hollywood, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. So exciting!

Ariana Grande, 21, has already taken the music world by storm, and now she’s considering taking her talent to the big screen, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Do YOU think Ari has what it takes to become a movie star?

Ariana Grande Movie Roles — Singer Being Offered Parts In Films

Before her singing career took off, Ariana actually got her big break as an actress, starring in the hit Nickelodeon shows Victorious and Sam & Cat. Now it sounds like she could be making her big screen debut soon!

“Ariana’s blowing up right now. Everyone wants her and huge producers are sending her scripts to read,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She’s got so much going on that it would be hard for her to shoot a movie right now but at the same time, she wants to take advantage of things while she’s so hot.”

Ariana would be so smart to jump on this opportunity, and we would absolutely LOVE to see her in films. She’s a total triple threat and it’s high time she showed off all of her talents!

In the meantime, Ari is killing it with her music! She just released a hot new preview for her “Love Me Harder” video, in which she splashes around sexily in a pool of water.

“I’m laying down in every music video ever,” Ariana jokes in her new behind the scenes clip. “I’ve not ever done a music video where I haven’t laid down and it’s literally all coincidental.”

Perhaps she’ll dip her toe into the movie world next!

Iggy Azalea Rocks New Curly Hair For SNL’
28/10/2014 05:30

Iggy, is that you? We’re used to seeing our favorite Australian rapper with sleek bone straight hair, but she changed up her look on October 25 with a head full of tight springy curls! Which look do you love more?

Iggy Azalea, 24, has been in the middle of a lot of controversy lately, but one thing remains constant — she always looks great! This time she surprised us all by performing her new single, “Beg For It” on Saturday Night Live with her hair styled in thick curls.

Iggy Azalea’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ Hair

Iggy Azalea performed her new single alongside 26-year-old singer, MØ, with her trusty sexy dance moves and her bad girl attitude that we can always count on. What wasn’t so normal for the rap star was her new hair style! We were shocked to see her confidently rocking her hair in totally new, tightly wound curls.

We were also surprised to hear MØ sounding so off for the performance. The recorded version sounds so much better, but that’s another story.

Iggy’s appearance on SNL was a huge moment for the break out star, so it’s no wonder she went with a new look! (You can tell how excited she was from all of her Instagram posts.)

It was a refreshing change from her bone straight looks or her slicked back ponytails that she usually goes for.

We like this ‘do on Iggy and we can’t wait to see what other styles she’ll try in the future.

Do you love Iggy’s curly look? Or was her big hair just a big flop? Vote below and let us know what you think!

Fashion designer to the stars Alice McCall
24/10/2014 05:23

Despite being one of Australia’s most prominent fashion designers, Alice McCall famously never plans her outfits - instead wearing whatever feels right on the day.

And on Wednesday the fashionista looked fabulous in a flamboyant blue holiday themed playsuit as she posed with model Mia Harangozo next to a giant gold number '10'.

The creative redhead took part in the shoot exclusively for Daily Mail Australia as she prepared to celebrate her tenth year in the fashion industry with an Alice In Wonderland inspired event in Sydney on Thursday.

Ahead of the party Alice told Daily Mail Australia: ‘I mean, I’m Alice and live in a bit of a wonderland... and so it just seemed a really fitting theme!’

Alice began her fashion career in London and it was when the likes of supermodel Kate Moss wore one of her creations that the 39-year-old really began believe in herself.

She said: ‘She wore my clothes a little bit actually and it was nice because it was when I first started, when I was literally on my own and just making beautiful bias-cut tops out of scarves that I collected from the markets.

‘And the first time I saw her wearing one of my things and I guess that was about 13 or 14 years ago now. That really gave me the confidence to move from styling to designing.’

She’s come a long way in the last ten years and now has a long list of celebrity fans which includes: Cat McNeil, Miranda Kerr, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Agyness Deyn, Lily Cole, Kim Kardashian, Jessica Mayboy and Kendall and Kylie Jenner, to name a few.

While many high achievers talk about waking up at 5am and going for a swim in the ocean to kick start their day, Alice takes a much more laid back approach, which enables her to have a good work/life balance.

The single mum of two girls - Wild Rose, seven and Hopi Silver Moon, two – Alice reveals she wakes up at 8am to start the day.

‘I’m single with two kids, so I have two nannies who help me because my parents live in Melbourne.

‘I also have an amazing group of largely women with a couple of men in there. I think they say give a job to a busy person and mothers are so good at multitasking.

‘I’m a late riser, I’m going to be really honest and I get up at 8am. My nanny turns up at 8am, in an hour I’ve showered, we’ve done the school lunches together, got my daughter ready and I’m out of the house by ten to nine.

‘I do the school drop off every day and then I come to work every day. But I must say because I have children, I’m very conscientious about getting home by 5:30pm.

‘I’m not one of those people that works late, unless we’ve got a fashion show.

‘I think you've got to show people respect and you know I think if people are helping you achieve your dream you’ve got to show gratitude.’

Alice also makes sure she goes to yoga often as it helps her to remain level headed.

‘It’s very easy to become egotistical when you’re the visionary. But I think doing yoga and staying home with my children help me stay grounded,’ she said.

With the Spring Racing Carnival coming up Alice also gave her tips on how to stand out from the crowd –  without looking ridiculous.

She said: ‘I think the whole fascinator thing has always fascinated me. I think one of the tricks with that is to wear something on your head that you’d wear in normal life.

‘You know people wear these big old feathers and all of this stuff.

'I think Jessica Gomes did it wonderfully the other day when she just had this lovely little straw bowler on her head and Montana Cox had this divine pronged headband with beautiful large studs.

‘And they both looked so good because they were wearing something that was cool and you would actually wear it if you went out in the evening.

'So for me I think it’s a good rule. Wear something that you’re going to buy and wear to a party.’

After over a decade in the industry Alice feels like ready to handle anything the industry throws at her.

'It feels like I’m definitely armed with experience and knowledge now and I think that’s a really key thing in this industry which can be full of trouble shooting. So definitely forewarned is forearmed with experience.'

Speaking about her own style and how it's evolved over the years she adds:

'I’m forever changing and I think it’s eclectic, it’s depending on the mood when I wake up, because I’m not one of those pre-planners who lays out their outfit the night before.

'You know one day it’s bohemian and the next it’s quite chic and sophisticated depending on my emotion on the day and I think that’s reflective of my designs as well because I don’t think you can pigeon hole the label.'

The fashion king who loved women
22/10/2014 13:23

Cocktail numbers embroidered with flowers, floor-length gowns in a kaleidoscope of colours, and dresses whose show-stopping back views took the breath away: Oscar de la Renta’s creations were as varied and full of character as the women he dressed.

In a career that spanned more than 50 years, the designer, who has died at the age of 82, built up a £123 million fashion empire, creating bespoke outfits for everyone from Jackie Kennedy to the new Mrs Amal Clooney, who wore a delicate lace Oscar de la Renta gown for her wedding to actor George last month.

He dressed socialites, screen goddesses and royalty alike: Audrey Hepburn and Diana, Princess of Wales were loyal customers, and in recent years the actress Penelope Cruz and pop singer Taylor Swift have graced the red carpet in his ensembles.

Yet while his client list was second to none, the secret to his lasting success wasn’t his A-list friends: it was the fact that he simply loved women — his beloved wife of 25 years, Annette, his six sisters, his glamorous clients . . . Even ordinary women who could probably never dream of affording his dresses, which start at around £3,000.

For De la Renta may have dressed the great and the good, but he was not in thrall to them. ‘An anonymous woman on the street is the woman who influences fashion today, not a movie star or First Lady,’ he once said.

In an industry in which some might argue male designers don’t always make clothes which enhance the female form, Oscar de la Renta catered to women of all ages, shapes and sizes, managing to fit and flatter disparate body shapes with equal flair.

His designs for Princess Diana were as sophisticated as his gowns for Nicole Kidman were sensual.

‘I don’t like dull women,’ he said in 1986. ‘The most important beauty is not that with which you were born, but the real beauty of character which grows all through a woman’s life and maybe never stops growing.’

It is perhaps no surprise that he managed to appeal to women from every background, given his own humble start in life.

Born Oscar Renta (he added the ‘de la’ to sound more aristocratic to Americans) in the Dominican Republic in 1932, his father was an insurance salesman, although his mother came from a well-established family. He was particularly close to his mother and grandmother.

With reportedly one pair of shoes —blue suede ones, admittedly — to his name, he moved to Spain at 18 to study abstract painting. He fell into fashion by taking jobs sketching dress designs. The U.S. ambassador to Spain commissioned a gown for her daughter, who was pictured wearing it on the cover of Life magazine.

He then joined Spain’s most revered couturier, Balenciaga, and later moved to work in Paris, where he mixed with the likes of actress Catherine Deneuve and film director Roger Vadim.

His big break came after he moved to New York in 1963 with his future wife, Francoise de Langlade, editor-in-chief of French Vogue.

He persuaded cosmetics queen Elizabeth Arden to hire him, after meeting her at a dinner party where he’d been invited as an extra man. In 1965, he went to work for U.S. fashion designer Jane Derby and launched his label after her death that year.

His business and design acumen was combined with a sharp eye towards conquering New York society. He and Francoise became gracious entertainers at their country house in Connecticut.

Although he was famously charming, he could be subtly withering if he wanted. He once recalled how he first met Princess Diana when he sat next to her at a lunch function.

‘I remember for the first 45 minutes she never said a word to me,’ he recalled. ‘I was mortified, especially when a friend at another table sent over a note saying, “So happy to see you are such a hit with the Princess of Wales.” ’

Suddenly, Diana ‘piped up’ and said she had been too shy to start a conversation. ‘After that, all she wanted to talk about was clothes. But frankly, my nightmare at a lunch or dinner is just talking fashion. There are so many more important things in the world.’

While he might not have liked talking fashion, he was charm personified when I did just that at his New York show in the late Nineties. He had a twinkle in his eye for every reporter in the room. When my time came, his charm remained intact, despite the fact that I was more Peckham than Park Avenue.

By this point, the designer was happily settled with second wife, Annette, whom he married in 1989, six years after Francoise’s death. He had already adopted a son, Moises, who will split the designer’s fortune with his three stepchildren.

First and foremost, Oscar de la Renta will be remembered as a gentleman — one who revered women, dressed them exquisitely and made them feel like the best version of themselves. Whether they were grand ladies or girls next door.
